Paid plans now available

Narakeet is no longer in the beta test phase, and we’re now introducing paid plans. Here’s a quick overview of the changes:

Prices

For personal users, the prices are between 0.05 USD and 0.25 USD for a minute of video produced, depending on the quantity (heavy users get it cheaper). There are pricing options in EUR and GBP for people outside the US. Check out the details on the pricing page.

For organisations, we have two options: a flat price based on the number of users per month (starting from 10 users minimum), or metered billing based on usage. If you’re interested in this, request a quote.

What’s being charged?

For personal users and metered organisational billing, you pay for minutes of video produced (regardless of whether you download the video or not). So each version you create counts for billing purposes. We calculate the usage in increments of 1 second.

We know from your feedback that one of the best aspects of Narakeet is the ability to experiment and quickly build new versions, and charging for each version built is making it more difficult to do that. One of the first things we plan to do is to allow you to preview audio without building the whole video (or paying for the build), so you can identify voice problems easily. This will reduce the difference between generated/downloaded videos, so it will be even cheaper to use Narakeet.

Discounts

We can offer generous discounts to educational and non-profit organisations. Just select your organisation type when requesting a quote.

If you were a beta phase user, check your inbox. You should have received an email with a discount coupon that will give you a nice price reduction for any purchases over the next 30 days. If you’ve not yet received it, get in touch, and we will send you a new one.

Payment options

We support payments by most major credit cards (and Apple Pay/Google Pay from mobile devices) and Alipay. For EUR payments and users in EU, we also support Bancontact, EPS, Giropay, iDEAL, Przelewy24 and Sofort payments. For flat-price organisational accounts, we can receive payments by bank transfer in EUR, GBP and USD.

We’re increasing the limits for paid plans. Commercial users can create videos with up to 500 scenes (or slides in a presentation), and upload files up to 350 MB size, with a total of 400 MB per project.

What’s happening to free accounts?

We’re keeping free access for people who just want to run a quick experiment, or try out Narakeet.

Anyone can create up to 20 videos without even registering. Anonymous users are limited to uploads up to 10 MB to prevent abuse, with a maximum of 30 scenes per video. Registered users can (before paying) create videos with up to 30 scenes, and upload files up to 10 MB size, with a total of 50 MB per project.

Future plans

We have very ambitious plans to simplify video creation and help you build great content easily, and paid plans will help us in introduce new features faster and increase system capacity. Expect video creation to get faster and easier in the months to come.

If you were on the waiting list for API access or asked for more capacity, we should be able to allow your access over the next few weeks.

As mentioned above, we’re working on a way for you to preview and experiment with audio quickly, so you can fix small mistakes without having to pay for the whole video build.

Many users asked about support for Powerpoint animations and transitions, so we will also be introducing this in the next few months.

For educational users, Google Slides seems to be a better option than Powerpoint, so we plan to provide a more direct integration with Slides in the future.

If you need more information about the changes, please get in touch by email at contact@narakeet.com.

Thank you for your support and participating in the beta program. Exciting times are ahead. It will be great to keep having you on board!
